Endemic to South Africa, this flower was commonly found along the rocky Cape Peninsula, where it adorned the landscape with clusters of white flowers.

This flower is part of the Rutaceae family, which includes over 2,000 species of flowering plants, including Macrostylis barbigera and Macrostylis cassiopoides.
EXTINCTION
Last recorded in 1960, in South Africa, its extinction is mainly linked to alien plant invasion, as well as urban expansion and agriculture.
