THE BORNEO PROJECT
In partnership with The Borneo Project, we are donating 1% of all proceeds from the Floating Forest collection to support community-led conservation work, which includes surveying forests and trees and tracking where deforestation is taking place for reporting to international governing bodies.

While science can be used to renew the essence of extinct flowers, it cannot replace the time lost in the communities and ecosystems they once belonged to. This partnership is a small way to connect with these communities and support their efforts to build a more reciprocal and sustainable world.
ABOUT BORNEO
Borneo is the world’s third-largest island, located in Southeast Asia, and was once home to the now-extinct Shorea cuspidata, the towering tree that inspired our Floating Forest fragrance.

In partnership with Kaʻehu, we are donating a portion of the proceeds from the Solar Canopy collection to support community-led efforts to protect the Kaʻehu Bay in Hawaii. This includes restoring traditional food crops, lo'i, and native plants, as well as revitalizing traditional cultural practices.
About Kaʻehu
Kaʻehu Bay, located in Paukukalo on the island of Maui, is an area rich in both native flora and wildlife, as well as several cultural sites deemed kapu, or sacred. The Hibiscadelphus wilderianus, the striking red flower that inspired our award-winning Solar Canopy fragrance, once flourished in the understories of Maui’s tropical forests, until deforestation led to its declaration as extinct in 1912.
What is Kaʻehu?
By focusing on cultural revitalization, land stewardship, and holistic community development, Kaʻehu seeks to ensure the continued vitality of Native Hawaiian traditions for future generations. They believe that strengthening the connection between people, culture, and land is essential to preserving Hawaiian heritage and environmental sustainability.

To support community-led efforts to restore and protect Kaʻehu Bay’s cultural and natural resources.
To protect cultural landmarks and ensure that traditional Hawaiian values guide land restoration and stewardship.
To empower local communities in Paukukalo to restore traditional agricultural practices, such as taro cultivation.
To raise awareness about the vital connection between indigenous knowledge, sustainability, and ecosystem health, both locally and globally.
