We combined the intelligence of DNA sequencing and the imagination of the world's best perfumers to give new life to the extinct Macrostylis villosa subspecies 1 + 2, a small aromatic shrub with needle-like leaves that once produced clusters of white flowers for long periods of the year throughout South Africa.

    Roses Never gotten.

    This Rosey, Saffron, Sandalwood dream of a perfume is beyond perfection to me, I'm 27 turning 28 in June and let me tell you I will keep buying this beautiful perfume. Every time I go out to the movies or to work, the perfume works with my body chemistry and natural pheromones to make a beautiful scent. ( My first purchase was the body wash and the haunted rose made me fall in love.) Gave the Floating Forest and Solar Canopy to my mother. :)

    Love Haunted Rose!

    This is my favorite scent of the 6 that Future Society offers. There is something really lovely about Haunted Rose that immediately won me over as soon as I smelled it on my skin. It’s subtle, warm and spicy, rich and velvety, fresh but not too bright, just a lovely easy scent that I could see using in semi-regular rotation. I weirdly smelled vanilla in this one even though there are no vanilla notes in it. Maybe it’s the sandalwood and ambroxan showing their face in the dry down— this lands in a place I really like. drydowndiaries.substack.com

    Absolutely obsessed

    I’m pretty picky when it comes to perfumes. I find one that I like and basically become a ride or die for it. On a whim, I decided to give this perfume a try because I hadn’t really had a scent that was “my smell” for a while, and I’m so glad I did. Not only is this perfume so dreamy and perfect for almost any occasion, but the two samples I received—Reclaimed Flame and Invisible Woods—both smell so good (but still different enough) that I immediately told my partner I wanted to buy those as well. I almost never like more than one scent from a place, lol. And everything came in gorgeous, unobtrusive packaging. Highly recommend!

    I have to admit, I have never been a rose girly. I was never one to reach for a rose scented perfume. BUT I think this is the one exception. It smells exactly like a brand new rosary your abuelita would own. You know the one with the red beads? Yeah, that one. And it dries down beautifully and lasts so long. Aside from the nostalgic ties, it really is a great scent and somehow still smells lovely even if I’ve sprayed it on before a hot yoga class. 10/10 will be purchasing in the big bottle!
