By combining DNA sequencing with the expertise of world renowned perfumers, we’ve brought new life to the extinct Shorea cuspidata, a towering tree endemic to Borneo, whose branches once grazed the sky at up to 45 meters.
Shorea cuspidata
Its color is a green speckled stone—worn round and edged smooth.
Its look is a jacquard cocoon top, sleeves billowing in the breeze.
Its mood is a moment of meditative release.
This was a blind buy after reading suggestions from perfume subreddits and some self research on a perfume that smelled like rain & flowers. This definitely hit the mark! It's my new daily for this time of year. I generally don't like one-note floral perfumes, so Floating Forest was perfect for me! It smells just like a mix of flowers in a field after a rainy day. I love the concept of smelling like extinct plants, too. Such a great buy, and the samples that came with my order made me excited to try more from this house.
I lovelovelove floating forest. It’s a beautiful and delicate clean sent with an earthy base. It’s quickly become one of my favorites in my collection.
I got this fragrance for Christmas, which I think was a little risky just because I like to test my fragrances before buying. But omg this one is so strong. I wore it for about 2 weeks to see if it would grow on me, but all I smelled on my skin was the black peppercorn first note. The scent now makes me nauseous thinking about it and I unfortunately cannot wear it anymore :( but I’m sure it’s a good fit for others.
I purchased a larger trial spray. I hadn’t tried any of the trials yet, so I just grabbed one and sprayed…didn’t even look at the scent name because I have so many perfumes that I just grab and spray. This particular day, I was running errands. IThe first place I landed was the grocery store & I heard someone say, “Something smells really good!” and they began sniffing the shirts of their other family members that were with them and saying, “no, it’s not you…” and so on…
I didn’t think much of it until I was passing the family and they shouted out, “IT’S YOU, WHAT ARE YOU WEARING?” Unfortunately, I didn’t look at the name of the sample when I applied it BUT I did recall I received three samples of ‘something’ woods, forest, or solar and I used a sample I received from Future Society. They thanked me profusely. Every single time I wore the sample, I would get a few compliments so my husband bought it for me as an early Christmas gift. YAY 😃
I was hoping for the experience of plunging into a crisp, cool cenote in the Yucatán. Instead, this fragrance is the experience of drinking from an ice cold stream in the Alps, which is lovely to be sure, but it’s not what I was hoping for. The way the black pepper and the bergamot work together, it is gives this a very intense ozone experience that is so clean it almost hurts my senses.
