An Aromatic Floral Rooted in America’s Lost Prairie

Feel grounded with Grassland Opera, a crisp, green floral inspired by Orbexilum stipulatum, a prairie bloom once native to Rock Island, believed extinct due to buffalo migration after 1881.  Known to spread quietly through its roots and not through seeds, locals still search for its return, drawn by the hope that something so deeply rooted might rise again. This scent honors resilience and rootedness, a celebration of staying true to who you are.

Scientific Reconstruction:
Through biotechnology, scent molecules inspired by Orbexilum stipulatum were identified and reinterpreted into a vibrant, herbaceous composition. Perfumer Olivia Jan took a precise, technical approach, replicating the scent’s extinct elements to evoke the quiet richness of the open plains.

    By far their best

    This is such a gorgeous perfume and unlike anything I've ever smelled. It lasts for a really long time as well. This perfume is IMO their best proof of concept for their brand and embodies their mission statement better than any of their other perfumes in the way that it truly does smell like something extinct and exotic. Everything else from this brand smells quite directly like something else, but this perfume is unprecented.

    Because of that, though, I wouldn't call this blind buy safe. Try and get a sample if you can - their discovery set is well priced and this is a collection worth exploring.

    Signature scent

    After solar canopy, this is my next favorite fragrance from this brand. I don’t know what it is about this particular scent but every time I wear it people ask me what I’m wearing. They say I smell amazing it last all day in my skin, which is very hard for me because Perfume dies on my skin, but this is amazing and I love it.

    Very green

    This is a beautiful smell for those who enjoy the greener things in life. Not overwhelming but very natural I highly recommend this. Five stars. For the hippies and nature lovers especially.

    Genuinely obsessed

    I cannot express deep enough how much this in combination with Floating Forest makes me feel like I actually smell like a fairy. Not one, not 2 but multiple occasions of wearing this and the previously mentioned, I have been told I smelled “otherworldly” and “somewhat nostalgic” it is great. Cannot recommend those two enough
