A fragrance inspired by the extinct Shorea cuspidata, a flower from Borneo last recorded in 1998. 

A cooling, watery overture is awakened by a pinch of black pepper and vibrant bergamot, softened by a floral heart, and grounded by the soothing scent of earthy woods, salted musk, and wet stones.

By combining DNA sequencing with the expertise of world renowned perfumers, we’ve brought new life to the extinct Shorea cuspidata, a towering tree endemic to Borneo, whose branches once grazed the sky at up to 45 meters.

    WOW!!! Smells amazing once it dries

    I was a little nervous about what this would smell like since it was a blind purchase...but I'm so thankful I bought this perfume. First of all, I've never smelled anything so complex before: it's floral, earthy, woody, and aquatic all at once. It does smell like a rainforest! Second of all, I think it's important to note that when I first sprayed it on my skin, it kind of smelled a little odd...almost spicy / peppery in a way I had never smelled before and wasn't expecting. I didn't love it right away, but after 15 minutes it totally changed and smelled genuinely incredible (I think it just needs to dry and settle into your skin before the main real scent takes over). Overall, this smells AMAZING and I definitely recommend.

    Smells like rain

    I got the discovery set and this one was my favorite of them all. It smells like a rainy day in the best way possible. It also has a vanilla esque scent to me.

    One of the best-smelling fragrances I've ever smelled!

    I ordered this fragrance without smelling it, I just listened to the reviews of the scent. When I received it, I was reluctant to open it as I was afraid I wouldn't like it, upon opening I knew this was something different. I have received so many compliments and inquiries about what it is and where to purchase it. I will never be without this fragrance. Best blind purchase!!!

    I don’t know how to explain this scent, but some adjectives that come to mind would be, “fresh, green, herbaceous, clean.” It makes me feel like I’m existing in a clear, babbling brook amongst mossy rocks and ferns in early spring time. If I’m wearing this perfume in public, at least one stranger comments on how wonderful I smell.
